This year’s Moorhouse Symposium in Melbourne’s Anglican Cathedral on August 13th was the occasion for the two directors of the Wittenberg Center for Reformation Studies to introduce themselves and their work in Australia. The quincentenary of Martin Luther’s translation of the Bible gave occasion to discuss the significance of the Bible for the church and to compare the German and English Reformations (www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xyGnHwiYFw). On the following days, Ashley Null and Andreas Stegmann presented the Wittenberg Center in Canberra and Sydney. It became clear that the Reformation is a phenomenon with global impact that also attracts interest on the other side of the globe.
