Language skills are necessary for research on the Reformation. Since the Reformation began and developed in the German-speaking world, a basic understanding of early modern German is important. The Wittenberg Center offers weekly online meetings for translating sixteenth-century sources from German into English and practicing language skills. The group is open to anyone who is interested, and it is also possible to look at sources that are important for your work or to brush up on your knowledge of early modern German.
