Starting on September 18, 2025, a new group will begin translating Luther’s De servo arbitrio. Luther considered this book to be one of his best, and since then, Protestantism has agreed that it is of the utmost importance. A recent example of the lasting impact of this book is Steven Paulson’s “Luther’s Outlaw God,” one of the most significant contributions to Luther research in recent decades. The online reading group will read the entire text of Luther’s book, page by page. The main focus will be translating from Latin to English to strengthen language skills. Participants must have a basic knowledge of Latin and be able to prepare about one page of Latin text each week. If you are interested in participating, please contact Andreas Stegmann.
