The Wittenberg Center for Reformation Studies is at the Sixteenth Century Conference in Toronto. On Friday, November 1, 2024, a panel will commemorate the quincentenary of William Tyndale’s arrival in Wittenberg. One of the fruits of his encounter with the Wittenberg Reformation was his 1526 preface to Romans, the first English summary of Wittenberg theology. Three speakers will look at this text from different perspectives. On Saturday, November 2, a roundtable will consider the impact of the core message of the Reformation on 16th-century English church history. What is the significance of justification for the English Reformation?

The Wittenberg Center has invited Prof. Jonathan Linebaugh (Beeson Divinity School), Prof. Torrance Kirby (McGill University) and Prof. Colin Donnelly (Virginia Theological Seminary) to participate in the panel and the roundtable.

If you would like to meet the directors of the Wittenberg Center and learn more about our program, please contact us. Ashley Null and Andreas Stegmann are happy to meet you for a cup of coffee.
