On November 20, 2023, we will begin the translation of another Latin source that was important for Protestantism in the 16th century. The participants have chosen a sermon on the Lord’s Supper attributed to Cyprian of Carthage, but actually written by the Benedictine abbot Arnold of Bonneval. The text played a certain role in the discussion of the Lord’s Supper in the Reformation century (download text). The group meets on Zoom for one hour each week (for upcoming meetings visit www.wittenbergcenter.de/latin) and translates the text together. Anyone interested is welcome to join. Please contact Andreas Stegmann (stegmann@wittenbergcenter.de) for the Zoom link.
