Part of the WCRS’s support for academics are research grants. PhD student Daniel Kamala from the South African Theological Seminary is Student Fellow of the 2023 Wittenberg Summer Course. During the course he presented a paper on Luther’s view on women with special attention to Eve and selected women in the fourth Gospel.
After the end of the Wittenberg Summer Courses he is now doing research on female metaphors in the Gospel of John in Tübingen. The University of Tübingen offers excellent research libraries, welcoming study houses and a helpful network of scholars. The WCRS is honored to be able to support Daniel Kamala and help him get acquainted with German theological scholarship.
