The lecture program of the third week is dedicated to the change initiated by the Reformation. So the Fellows took a look at the ‘Radical Reformation’ and the Peasants’ War. In the afternoon they visited once more the Luther House. This time Anne-Katrin Ziesak led the group behind the scenes and showed them the collection of the Luther Foundation: manuscripts, paintings, engravings, medals and other objects. Research on the Reformation is not only about texts and ideas but has also to take into account the material culture. In the evening a Guest Lecture from Dorothea Wendebourg introduced the Course to ‘Martin Luther and the Jews’.

The activities of the day offered different perspectives on the mainstream Reformation radiating from Wittenberg.
