Luther’s Reformation theology is one thing, the renewal of the church is another. How the impulse of Luther’s rethinking of the Christian faith came into practice was the topic of a series of lectures, source studies and on-site-excursions. With the historian Dr Insa Christiane Hennen the Fellows visited the Parish Church and climbed its towers. Luther’s liturgical order for the ‘German Mass’ caused a lively discussion: What does the reformer means when he distinguishes the three kinds of worship? What about the “truly evangelical order … for those who seriously want to be Christians” which Luther could not realize because he had “not yet the people or persons for it”?
